The modern reinterpretation of the iconic 1970 watch featured with
special fabric straps designed and manufactured expressly for diver's
use. Its rich texture and color are familiar to Japanese culture from
its use in fabric designs, as seen in a traditional " obijime ", the
decorative cord that holds a kimono sash in place. It has a tensile
strength almost four times that of normal Seiko fabric straps. Their
strength and resistance to degradation caused by exposure to sunlight
meet the exacting standards of Seiko diver's watches and are perfect for
underwater use. In addition, thanks to their unique braiding pattern,
the straps have the flexibility and air permeability to ensure maximum
comfort on the wrist.
The textured gray dial harmonizes perfectly with the earth tones of its
straps. It comes with an additional strap of a different color that can
be easily interchanged without tools, thanks to the structure of the
watch strap.
